Follow the scenic itinerary prepared by the Regional Luberon Natural Park: a circuit of 236 kilometers around the mountain range. The itinerary is marked in both ways.
The Luberon while known for its hilltop villages, the Ochre Cliffs of Roussillon, its varied landscapes, farmers’ markets, fruit, olive and lavender fields, it is also a chain of mountains with hiking trails for all tastes and levels. Come and discover the local fauna, the extraordinary flora and the breathtaking landscape: cliffs, valleys, luxurious lowlands, arid plateaus, highland meadows, and dense forests. Hiking trail guides are available at the Office du Tourisme Intercommunal Luberon-Pays d’Apt (Inter-municipality office of tourism of Luberon-Pays d’Apt).

Whether on a mountain bike or a road bike, the “Route des Crêtes” is an ideal cycling trail for the whole family. The 14 kilometers of paved road offer wonderful views of the various villages and the surrounding landscape including a panoramic view of the Mont Ventoux and the Durance valley. The trail begins at the parking lot of “La Forêt des Cèdres ». The bike trail is safe, as cars are not allowed on the path. The trail is accessible to all biking levels, which makes it ideal to share with the whole family. Please note that it is not a closed circuit, so you must turn back to starting point… so please plan accordingly (approximately 50 km total)…. “Never-ending Luberon…”
From the village of Bonnieux, going towards “La Forêt des Cèdres”, follow « la route de Crètes », go past “La Combe de Vidauque”, follow “les Taillades”, then follow the signs to the route “Tour du Luberon”. You will ride along the Luberon: Robion and Maubec, by passing through the villages of Oppède, Ménerbes, Lacoste and back to Bonnieux.

Few cyclists will resist the temptation to ride the paths between Ventoux and the Luberon. Experienced cyclists will welcome the challenge to cycle up the mountain pass or to attack the many different downhill slopes of the Ventoux. The leisure cyclist will prefer riding along the charming paths to explore around a hill, vineyard, lavender field, orchard, olive grove, forest or poppy field.

What better way to enjoy all the nuances of the Luberon landscape than exploring it by bicycle? Cycle through hilltop villages, ride along bike trails that take you through varied landscapes; cross oak, olive, pine, and cedar trees, apricot, cherry and apple trees, and see the Mediterranean Guarrigue. Look for the plaque “Accueil vélo” in hotels and restaurants; they provide bike garage parking, the transfer of your luggage, picnics, and high-energy meals suitable for your active excursions. You will find nearly 400 km of marked paths and itineraries.

The Veloroute of Calavon is constructed over an ancient railroad path. Going from Apt to Cavaillon, this veloroute (also called the Green Lane) proposes a safe and picturesque circuit for joggers, cyclists, mountain bikers, and hikers of all levels.
A sample itinerary: Starting at the Pont Julien (5 km from the village of Bonnieux), go east towards Apt (10 km) or St-Martin-de-Castillon; go left and pass the village of Beaumettes (10 km) before arriving in Cavaillon.
Golf lovers are spoiled in the Provence region! They can golf on a different course everyday, for a week, without having to go very far. Near the estate you will find several first-class golf courses.
Designed in 1989 by Jean Garaïalde, the Provence Country Club is situated between the Luberon and the Monts du Vaucluse, and was inspired by the route of the Carpentras Canal and the surrounding landscape. The club features typical Provencal vegetation such as olive and pine trees, oleander, lavender and rosemary bushes. The Golf Course is 6099 meters from the white tees with 38 strategically placed bunkers. Appreciated by experienced players as well as beginners, the Provence Country Club is the golf course of choice in the Provence region.
The Provence Country Club restaurant (just 13 km from Robion) is open to all, golfers and non-golfers. From the elegant terrace enjoy the stunning views of the Alpilles hills and the Luberon. The cuisine is modern Provencal, using local seasonal produce. The bar is open all day with non-stop service, and serves snacks and drinks.

This gently curved golf course features some 30 bunkers that serve to protect the small greens, some of which are perched on hillocks. One acre of holes adorned with lakes and ponds to less than one acre of greens! This is a technical course of reasonable length for a par 72.

Whether on horseback or donkey trekking, this is a wonderful way of exploring the Regional Parc of Luberon. Several possibilities can be found in Maubec, Robion, Petit Palais and Bonnieux: excursions, horseback riding lessons for adults, and pony riding lessons for children.
In the region you will find riding schools, ponies, horses, excursions, introduction classes to riding, as well as rodeo for experienced riders as well as for beginners.

Donkey trekking can involve a simple one-day expedition of 2-17 km or thematic excursions, which can be organized over several days. Explore the flora and fauna of the countryside, and visit Maubec, Ménerbes, Lacoste and Oppède with your donkey and donkey-driver.
